Summary Minutes: Special City Commission Meeting September 10, 2009 <br />First Budget Hearing <br />Sunny Isles Beach, Florida <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and Building Department Manager Paola Villa <br />reported and noted that upon adopting this Ordinance we will be adopting the new Flood <br />Insurance Rate Maps and the Flood Insurance Study done by FEMA which become effective <br />tomorrow, September 11, 2009. City Manager Conner clarified that FEMA establishes a <br />Flood Plain Map of possible flooding areas and the Flood Insurance rate is established by <br />how many feet above or below the flood plain established elevation is. <br />Public Speakers: none <br />Vice Mayor Thaler moved and Commissioner Goodman seconded a motion to approve the <br />ordinance on second reading. Ordinance No. 2009 -332 was adopted by a roll call vote <br />of 5 -0 in favor. <br />Vote: Commissioner Brezin�es <br />Commissioner Goodman yes <br />Commissioner Scholl yes <br />Vice Mayor Thaler yes <br />Mayor Edelcup yes <br />5.
