restricted available right of way or easement width at the south landing which will only
accommodate one way bi- directional traffic and pedestrians.
Work Authorization No. 145 Increased Scope
The original contract for the bridge design did not include a detailed construction cost
analysis as a part of design phase services. This Work Authorization is to perform a
complete bid take off, analysis and constructability review by a licensed and well known
marine contractor. Given the complexity of this project, this detailed review will provide
for accurate and updated cost figures, investigate for and identify potential areas for value
engineering, define construction methods to ensure permits and easements are obtained
properly, and result in potential bidders submitting Requests for Information and areas of
potential change orders prior to bid opening. This allows the design team to make
adjustments to the plans prior to bid opening, which can result in a large savings to the
City.
COST:
In an amount not to exceed $34,644.75.
http: / /sibagenda. sibfl. net / agenda /Preview.aspx ?ItemID= 894 &MeetingID= O &MeetingDat... 10/12/2012
