CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH |REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. 14-07-01 - REVISED 17 Section 3 Scope of Services / Technical Specifications 3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the “City”) a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, seeks Request for Proposals (“RFP”) responses from interested licensed and certified Florida general contracting professionals (“Contractors”) to submit proposals to provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach with all the necessary work, labor, and equipment to secure services of a qualified contractor for repairs to the Government Center and the Government Center Garage. Bids shall include the replacement of the existing 500 kw emergency generator and the addition of a new 5001000 kw stand-by generator and a one or more phase maintenance and renovation projects for the provision of building envelope repairs, fountain repairs, cast in place concrete and precast concrete panel repairs, painting, sealing, tile and metals replacement. Work shall include but shall not be limited to building envelope water proofing and painting, concrete repairs, stucco and finish repairs, precast vertical panel stains, stainless steel stair rail replacement, sprinkler hea d and escutcheon replacement, repainting of doors, replacement of camera housing, removal and replacement of existing emergency / standby generator, installation of new 5001000 KW diesel stand-by generator and fountain waterproofing with tile/wall repair. Contractor must demonstrate his/her qualifications by providing experience in the areas of streetscape construction as a prime contractor to the FDOT or other Municipalities/Local government on similar projects with similar conditions. Contractor must provide sufficient information that clearly demonstrates the Contractor’s ability to provide such services in a prompt and efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to the Contractor’s ability to coordinate with FDOT, Miami-Dade County, City staff and neighboring property owners that may be impacted by construction. It is understood that the selected Contractor is of a professional status, licensed to provide services in the State of Florida and licensed for all applicable professional discipline(s) requiring licenses. 3.2 PROJECT SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS 3.2.1) Building envelope and water proofing and painting Building has numerous cracks and points of water intrusion throughout the envelope. The contractor is required to examine the building and provide services to install and repair new paint and caulking on all previous painted surfaces and caulked joints on the building exterior and in the parking garage including the interior and exterior of stairway #4 and #5, Includes painting entire parking garage and exterior of administrative building (previously painted surfaces only including stairs and rails) Caulking around edges of previously caulked parking garage)
