<br />SECTION 00700 <br /> <br />GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />Wherever used in these General Conditions or in the other Contract Documents, the <br />following terms shall have the meanings indicated which shall be applicable to both the <br />singular and plural thereof: <br /> <br />Acceptance: By the OWNER of the Work as being fully complete in accordance with the <br />Contract Documents subject to waiver of claims. <br /> <br />Agreement: The written agreement between the OWNER and the CONTRACTOR <br />covering the Work to be performed; the Contract Documents are attached to and made a <br />part of the Agreement. <br /> <br />Addenda: Written or graphic instruments issued prior to the execution of the Agreement <br />which modify or interpret the Contract Documents, Drawings and Specifications, by <br />addition, deletions, clarifications or corrections. <br /> <br />Application for Payment: The form furnished by the ENGINEER which is to be used by <br />the CONTRACTOR in requesting progress payments theretofore received from the <br />OWNER on account of the Work have been applied by the CONTRACTOR to discharge <br />in full all of the CONTRACTOR'S obligations stated in prior applications for payment. <br /> <br />Approved: Means approved by the ENGINEER of Record. <br /> <br />Bid: The offer or proposal of the Bidder submitted on the prescribed form setting forth the <br />prices for the Work to be performed. <br /> <br />Bidder: Any person, firm or corporation submitting a BID for Work. <br /> <br />Bonds: Bid, performance and payment bonds and other instruments of security, <br />furnished by the CONTRACTOR and his surety in accordance with the Contract <br />Documents and in accordance with the law of the place of the project. <br /> <br />Change Order: A written order to the CONTRACTOR signed by the OWNER authorizing <br />an addition, deletion or revision in the Work, or an adjustment in the Contract Price or the <br />Contract Time issued after execution of the Agreement. <br /> <br />Contract Documents: The Agreement, Addenda, Instructions to Bidders, <br />CONTRACTOR'S Bid, the Bonds, the Notice of Award, these General Conditions, Special <br />Conditions, the Specifications, Drawings and Modifications, Notice to Proceed, Invitation <br />to Bid, Acknowledgment of Conformance with OSHA Standards. <br /> <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach <br />NE 174th Street Roadway Improvements <br />00700-1 General Conditions <br />14-1758 / 09-19-2014 <br />
