<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH SECTION 01300 - 2 <br />SUBMITTALS <br /> <br />1.3 PROGRESS SCHEDULES <br />A. Promptly after award of contract, the CONTRACTOR shall prepare and submit to the <br />OWNER estimated construction progress schedules for the work, including a separate <br />schedule listing dates for submission and items to be submitted, project data, and <br />samples that will be needed for each product. Submit initial schedules within (14) fourteen <br />days after award of Contract. OWNER will review and return review copy within (14) <br />fourteen days after receipt. If required, resubmit within (2) two days after return of review <br />copy. <br /> <br />B. The Construction Progress Schedules shall be prepared in the form of a horizontal bar <br />chart showing in detail the proposed sequence of the Work and identifying construction <br />activities for each major component, structure or facility. The schedule shall be time <br />scaled, identifying the first day of each week, with the estimated date of starting and <br />completion of each stage of the Work in order to complete the project within the Contract <br />time. The schedule shall sufficiently detail and identify items such as Shop Drawings <br /> <br />C. The CONTRACTOR shall plan and allow for rain days / inclement weather in the <br />Construction Schedule. No time extension or additional compensation will be given to the <br />Contractor by the OWNER for rain days or inclement weather. <br /> <br />D. The Construction Progress Schedules shall be revised to reflect comments by the <br />OWNER and ENGINEER and updated monthly, or as many times as the schedule <br />changes depicting progress to the last day of the contract. Three (3) hard copies for <br />review at the weekly construction meeting and a PDF copy e-mailed to the OWNER shall <br />be distributed at the first construction meeting of each month or a PDF copy as many <br />times as the schedule changes. The following shall be noted at each submission: <br />1. Indicate progress of each activity to date of submission of schedule. <br />2. Show changes occurring since previous submission of schedule. <br />3. Provide a narrative report as needed to define: <br />i. Problem areas, anticipated delays, and the impact on the schedule. <br />ii. Corrective action recommended, and its effect. <br /> <br />E. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for determining the sequence of activities, the time <br />estimates of the detailed construction activities, and the means, methods, techniques, <br />and procedures to be employed. The Construction Progress Schedules shall represent <br />the Contractor's best judgment of how he will execute the Work in compliance with the <br />Contract requirements.
