BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, andcost) <br />Survey, engineering stormwater design, drainage calculations and modeling, cost estimates, permitting, and <br />engineering services during construction for the Palm and Hibiscus Island Stormwater and Roadway <br />Improvements. The project is a Capital Improvement Project structured as a design/build with Lanzo Construction. <br />CAS was responsible for the drainage system, roadway design and harmonization components of the CIP. The <br />design incorporated engineering techniques to reduce future sea level rises such as elevating the existing <br />roadways, increasing the size of the drainage system, providing water quality, installing three pump stations and <br />backflow prevention devices to avoid extreme high tides from re-entering the systems. Work also included electric <br />and communication line conversion from overhead to underground on Hibiscus Island. <br />Project Cost: $8,000,000 <br />25.
