Smith & Associates, Inc. <br />Engineers • Surveyors • Subsurface Utility Engineering • 31) Subsurface Imaging • Utility Coordination <br />CITY OF SWEETWATER <br />STORMWATER & PUMP STATION <br />IMPROVEMENTS PHASE IV <br />Project Description: <br />Due to repetitive, historical flooding within the 138 acre <br />residential area, Phase IV Stormwater Improvements for the <br />City of Sweetwater received substantial HMGP funding from <br />FEMA. The projects consisted of 130 structures, 10,795 <br />linear feet of drainage pipe ranging in size from 15 -inch to <br />72 -inch, 1,506 linear feet of 30 -inch force main and 2 -triplex <br />pumping stations (28 HP). Design fees for the project were <br />$403,151. The $4.09M project began in May 2011 and was <br />completed in August 2013 with no liquidated damages. <br />Responsibilities: <br />Surveying, utility locating, FEMA grant applications, planning, <br />design, cost estimates, preparation of construction plans and <br />contract documents, permitting, bidding, construction management and limited engineering <br />services during construction.
