PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Action: City Clerk Richard Brown-Morilla led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />3. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE AND TENT A TIVE <br />BUDGET <br /> <br />3A. Millage Resolution (Public Hearing) <br />A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, <br />Establishing the City of Sunny Isles Beach Proposed Ad Valorem Tax Millage Levy <br />Rate at 3.35 Mills per One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars of Taxable Assessed Value Which is <br />41 % Greater than the "Rolled Back" Rate of 2.3 7 Mills, for Fiscal Year 2002/2003; <br />Providing for an Effective Date. <br />Action: City Clerk Richard Brown-Morilla read the title and City Manager Russo reported on <br />the basis for the proposed millage rate. <br /> <br />Public Speakers: none <br /> <br />Mayor Samson passed the gavel and moved and Commissioner Kauffman seconded a motion <br />to approve the resolution. Resolution No. 2002-469 was adopted by a voice vote of5-0 in <br />favor. <br />
