PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Mayor Edelcup gave opening remarks noting that this is our second reading of the Budget and <br /> that the first reading was held on September 7. 2012. <br /> 3. PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MILLAGE RATE AND BUDGET <br /> 3A. Millage Resolution (Public Hearing) <br /> A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach of Miami-Dade, <br /> County. Florida, Establishing the City of Sunny Isles Beach Ad Valorem Tax Millage <br /> Levy Rate at 2.8000 Mills per One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) of Taxable Assessed Value <br /> Which is 6.17% More than the "Rolled Back" Rate of 2.6372 Mills, for Fiscal Year <br /> 2012/2013; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> (First Hearing September 7. 2012) <br /> Action: [City Clerk's Note: Items 3A and 38 were heard together.] City Clerk Hines read <br /> the title, and Assistant City Manager/Finance Minal Shah reported that since the first hearing <br /> on September 7,2012 there have been no changes to the Budget. Our millage rate still stays at <br /> 2.8000 which is 3% less than the prior year's millage rate of 2.886. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Aelion moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2012-1976 was adopted by a roll call vote of 5-0 in favor, at <br /> 6:08 p.m. <br />
