Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting May 16,2013 City of Sunny Isles Beach.Florida <br /> 10J. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Approving <br /> an Agreement with Ric-Man International, Inc. for Continuing Services for Small <br /> Construction Projects, in an Amount Not to Exceed $100,000.00, Attached Hereto as <br /> Exhibit "A": Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Said Agreement; Authorizing the City <br /> Manager to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br /> Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Engineer Helen Gray reported that we <br /> frequently find a number of small repair and maintenance projects that need to be attended to. <br /> We are finding that the current limit of$25,000.00 per vendor is limiting our ability to timely <br /> respond to these things as they arise. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve the <br /> Resolution. Resolution No. 2013-2063 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 10K. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida,Authorizing <br /> the City to Execute a New Deed of Conservation Easement to the South Florida Water <br /> Management District in Order to Authorize the Construction of an Emergency <br /> Pedestrian Bridge Connecting North Bay Road between 172"d and 174th Streets, in <br /> Substantially the Same Form as the Attached Exhibit"A";Authorizing the City Manager and <br /> City Attorney to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an <br /> Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Engineer Helen Gray reported that we are <br /> about 90% of the way through the design and permitting for the Emergency Bridge. There <br /> are a lot ofjurisdictional entities that are driving a lot of the requirements for this project,one <br /> of which is the South Florida Water Management District. The south end of the bridge lands <br /> on a conservation easement and so that is going to be released by the District, and we are <br /> going to grant a like-area further east in the Canal. In addition, we have some additional area <br /> around the Skate Park for mangrove mitigation, and so this satisfied permit requirements. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Mayor Edelcup said when we get to 100% permitting, can we also have fireworks as this <br /> project has been going on for ten years, and we need to celebrate when it is fully permitted. <br /> Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Scholl seconded a motion to approve the <br /> Resolution. Resolution No. 2013-2064 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 10L.
