<br /> LIMITED PARK REOPENING AND GUIDELINES
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020 the City Manager declared a Local Emergency as a result of
<br /> COVID-19; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 19, 2020, March 26, 2020, April 2, 2020, April 9, 2020, April 16,
<br /> 2020, April 23, 2020, and April 30, 2020, the City Manager declared extensions to the State of Local
<br /> Emergency; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on April 3, 2020, the CDC recommended that persons wear cloth facial
<br /> coverings while in public to help control the spread of COVID-19; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on April 27,2020,Miami Dade County issued Emergency Order 21-20 allowing
<br /> parks and recreational facilities to open on April 29, 2020, under limited circumstances, and further
<br /> providing that municipalities may impose more stringent standards within their jurisdiction as may
<br /> be authorized by law; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on April 29, 2020, the City of Sunny Isles Beach took additional, steps to
<br /> minimize the spread of COVID-19 and issued Emergency Order 05-20, providing that all publicly
<br /> owned parks and recreational facilities remain closed, and providing for the expiration of the Order
<br /> at 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2020; and
<br /> WHEREAS, it is important for the physical and mental health of the community that outdoor
<br /> recreation be allowed to the extent it is safe to do so; and
<br /> WHEREAS, consistent with the direction taken by Miami Dade County, the City of Sunny
<br /> Isles Beach desires to reopen certain parks and recreational facilities following the expiration of
<br /> Emergency Order 05-20, but only as expressly stated below, to provide the community with
<br /> opportunities to exercise and obtain other health benefits during this continuing crisis; and
<br /> NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS HEREBY DECLARED AND ORDERED AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> 1. Findings.
<br /> The detailed findings of Miami-Dade County Mayor Gimenez, as contained in Emergency
<br /> Order 21-20, dated April 27, 2020, are hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference.
<br /> 2. Continuing Adherence to CDC Guidelines.
<br /> Notwithstanding the limited reopening of certain parks under this Emergency Order, all
<br /> individuals shall continue to adhere to the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control
<br /> and Prevention, hereinafter referred to as the "CDC Guidelines".
