<br /> 2" EMERGENCY ORDER 08 AND SUPPLEMENT TO
<br /> DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 12, 2020 the City Manager declared a Local Emergency as a result of
<br /> COVID-19; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has extended the declared state of Local Emergency every
<br /> seven (7) days since that date; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 22, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 01-20,
<br /> establishing a curfew and closing all gymnasiums, fitness centers, and swimming pools located in
<br /> condominiums, rental apartments, condominium hotels, hotels, and motels; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on March 26, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 02-20 and
<br /> Supplement to Declared State of Emergency, ordering individuals to remain at home other than to
<br /> engage in essential activities, and adopting Miami-Dade County Mayor Gimenez's Emergency Order
<br /> 10-20 regarding hotels, motels, short-term vacation rentals and other commercial lodging
<br /> establishments; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on April 8, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 03-20 and
<br /> Supplement to Declared State of Emergency, limiting construction activities in multi-family
<br /> buildings; and
<br /> WHEREAS, on May 1, 2020, the City Manager issued Emergency Order 06-20 and
<br /> Supplement to Declared State of reopening Emergency,g Y P g certam parks and recreational facilities
<br /> subject to restrictions; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Emergency Order 06-20, Paragraph (3)(A) lists Samson Oceanfront Park,
<br /> located at 17425 Collins Avenue, as a park that would be opened on a limited basis, subject to the
<br /> limitations set forth therein; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Emergency Order 06-20, Paragraph (3)(B) ordered the continued closure of
<br /> Newport Fishing Pier, located at 16501 Collins Avenue; and
<br /> WHEREAS, Emergency Order

<br /> ordered the P OO continued closure of all
<br /> beaches in Sunny Isles Beach pursuant to Miami-Dade County Emergency Order 06-20; and
<br /> WHEREAS,on May 14,2020 the Governor,via Executive Order 20-122 has allowed Miami-
<br /> Dade County to proceed to Phase 1 of the Safe, Smart, Step by Step Plan for Florida's Recovery,
<br /> subject to the limitations imposed in Executive Order 20-112 paragraphs two through six; and
<br /> WHEREAS, On May 15, 2020, Miami Dade County Mayor Gimenez issued Emergency
<br /> Order 23-20 which permits retail and commercial establishments to open for business, provided that
<br /> such establishments follow the requirements set forth in the "Moving to a New Normal Handbook"
