<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach |Request for Qualifications No. 20-07-01 11 <br /> <br />2.5 METHOD OF AWARD <br /> <br />The City intends to pre-qualify multiple firms for each professional service category. No <br />guarantee is expressed or implied as to the total services to be contracted under this RFQ. <br />Pre-qualification award does not guarantee any future project to be awarded. <br /> <br />In the event a firm is selected for a specific project, the selected firm will be required to <br />negotiate and execute an agreement with the City, which may require City Commission <br />approval by Resolution. <br /> <br />City reserves the right to reject the Sealed Response of any firm if City believes that it <br />would not be in its best interest of to make an award to that FIRM, whether because the <br />sealed response is not responsive, the firm is unqualified, of doubtful financial ability, or <br />fails to meet any other pertinent criteria established by City within the Statement of Work. <br /> <br />Additional information referenced in Section 4. <br /> <br />2.6 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Per Florida Statute 287.055, in determining whether a firm is qualified, the agency shall <br />consider such factors as the ability of professional personnel; whether a firm is a certified <br />minority business enterprise; past performance; willingness to meet time and budget <br />requirements; location; recent, current, and projected workloads of the firms; and the <br />volume of work previously awarded to each firm by the agency, with the object of effecting <br />an equitable distribution of contracts among qualified firms, provided such distribution <br />does not violate the principle of selection of the most highly qualified firms. The agency <br />may request, accept, and consider proposals for the compensation to be paid under the <br />contract only during competitive negotiations. <br /> <br />The successful firm must have a minimum of five (5) years business experience in their <br />respective discipline(s). To be eligible to respond to this Solicitation, the Respondent must <br />demonstrate that the firm has sufficient capabilities, resources and experience to provide <br />the Services under this Solicitation. Any Respondent that fails to meet all the following <br />minimum qualification requirements may be rejected as “NON-RESPONSIVE”. Those <br />qualifications are as follows: <br />2.6.1 LICENSING REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />In order to be considered a responsible and responsive Firm for the scope of work set <br />forth, the firm shall possess at minimum one of the following licenses, depending on the <br />discipline specific category the firm is applying for; to be included in their Proposal:
