RFQ NO. 20-07-01 – CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES / GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES Maser Consulting INTERPRETATION OF SCOPE The purpose of this contract is to provide a broad range of professional services for various projects for the City on an as-needed task assignment basis. We understand that this miscellaneous on-call contract effectively allows the City to engage with and to be supported by multiple professional consultants on a task work order basis. Maser is ready to be your consultant and will achieve or exceed the desired performance you have come to expect. We have a team of qualified subject matter experts who strive to exceed the requirements included in the RFQ. Our capacity to accomplish work in the required time is directly related to quantity and quality of resources and the commitment of our staff to meet the City’s needs. Our team was developed to ensure redundant resources and experienced staff are available to the City should task orders be issued concurrently or should emergency situations arise. Maser Consulting commits that we have the necessary resources and expertise to successfully complete each task. We can assume full and sole responsibility for projects of varying size, whether the project is a small one-day survey assignment or providing survey or geotechnical support for an extended design or construction project. Based on our review of the scope of work included in the RFQ, the following is our understanding of the Scope of Work for the Professional Work Categories we are proposing to perform for the City. Surveying and Mapping Services Maser Consulting has extensive experience providing Surveying and Mapping services for municipal clients in South Florida including working with regulatory agencies such as Dade County Traffic Engineering Division, Dade County Highway Construction and Engineering Division, and the Florida Department of Transportation. We have a proven track record of providing these services on an on-call basis to support transportation capacity, design, resurfacing, and safety improvement assignments. We also have extensive vertical construction experience, including serving as the surveyor of record for 10 high rise development projects within the City of Sunny Isles Beach. See Section F - Firm References and Similar Work Completed for a partial list of our surveying and mapping project experience within the City. As referenced in the RFQ, the surveying and mapping scope of services shall include but shall not be limited to design survey services relating to metes and bounds, topography, elevation certificates, GPS data collection and related work. The task assignments may encompass a wide range of potential survey and mapping related tasks including: right of way surveys, legal descriptions, title review, expert witness, control surveying, topographic design surveys, boundary surveys, jurisdictional mapping, asset inventory collection, ADA assessment, post construction as-builts, Section D, Page 3
