RFQ NO. 20-07-01 – CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA)
SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES / GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES
Maser Consulting
subsurface utility engineering (SUE) mapping (designation and subsurface excavation), and geographic
information services (GIS) mapping of infrastructure facilities.
Maser Consulting provides a complete suite of traditional surveying and mapping services as well as
leveraging technology such as mobile LiDAR; terrestrial LiDAR; and unmanned aerial systems (UAS)
LiDAR with high resolution digital imagery when required. Within our survey and mapping division we
provide SUE mapping, including surface designating of utilities using geophysical techniques and ground
penetrating radar (GPR) combined with subsurface excavation for underground facilitates; GIS and asset
inventory services.
Whether the task assignment calls for conventional surveying methods, cutting-edge geospatial scanning
techniques or a combination of both, our professionally licensed land surveyors, highly trained office
technicians and field crews work seamlessly together to provide responsive and consistent professional
survey services.
We employ a variety of powerful 3D hi‐definition imagery and LiDAR laser scanning technologies capable
of collecting over a million data points per second with extreme precision and clarity. Our geospatial
specialists have embraced this technology to create innovative approaches for a wide variety of surveying
and mapping assignments. Data can be collected using static terrestrial, mobile or aerial platforms
individually or by integrating one or more of these methods into one comprehensive, hi‐accuracy
deliverable. Our field data is processed using prudent quality control procedures. Once analyzed by our
geospatial specialists, customized digital and visual deliverables are created to fulfill even the most unique
project requirements. This wide range of applications includes standard planimetric CADD files, detailed
Digital Terrain Models (DTM), as‐built 3D models, asset databases, georeferenced photography and
project site animations.
The technology we employ is strengthened by our thorough understanding of survey principals. This
allows our team to be confident in the high precision and accuracy of our data collection when supporting
remote sensing technology with ground control and supplemental survey data via proven methods
dependent on the needs of a specific assignment scope of work.
All survey assignments will be supervised by a registered Professional Surveyor and Mapper to ensure
all work is performed in accordance with the Standards of Practice per Chapter 5J‐17, pursuant to chapter
472.027, Florida statues and any City of Sunny Isle Beach or FDOT manuals and instructions that apply.
Deliverables will be prepared in Autodesk Civil 3D format based on the City of Sunny Isles Beach’s filing
structure, CADD Standards, layer scheme, templates and coding and will include all associated checklists
and certified Surveying and Mapping Reports.
Maser Consulting’s team of SUE professionals understands the importance of obtaining the most reliable
information about existing underground utilities to avoid utility impacts wherever practical. SUE services
will be coordinated with the City, FDOT as well as all UAOs to ensure any existing utility data is leveraged
and all utilities are properly accounted for in the designation effort utilizing an array of geophysical
technologies including ground penetrating radar (GPR). As the engineering improvements are developed
by the design team, subsurface utility test holes will be performed, as required, to clear any potential
conflicts.
Section D, Page 4
