RFQ NO. 20-07-01 – CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES (CCNA) <br />SURVEYING AND MAPPING SERVICES / GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES <br />Maser Consulting <br />We will utilize a two‐phase approach in accordance with SUE Quality Levels B and A of the ASCE 38‐02 <br />standard. Phase One consists of providing Quality Level B utility designating within areas of excavation <br />or design feature construction. Phase One SUE data will be provided to the design team for conflict <br />analysis. Phase Two includes providing Quality Level A utility locating (test holes) using vacuum <br />excavation at conflict locations specified by the design team. All SUE information will be surveyed and <br />provided electronically and in accordance with the specified deliverable formats. <br />Maser Consulting is a certified Silver Partner with Esri and our GIS expertise includes various aspects of <br />utilizing web‐based geographic information systems involving utilities, land use, property assessment, <br />environmental and transportation assets. Our asset inventory project experience includes system‐wide <br />transportation and stormwater infrastructure database updates. The scopes for the transportation or <br />stormwater projects typically included either creation of new or updates of existing GIS geodatabases to <br />manage and provide condition assessment of the mapped drainage structures or roadway surface <br />features including guard rails, ADA ramps, mast arms, bike and pedestrian safety signalization, curbing, <br />medians, lanes, roadway shoulders and pavement markings. <br />Geotechnical Services <br />As referenced in the RFQ, the geotechnical scope of services includes providing geotechnical consulting <br />services. In particular, geotechnical explorations and analyses regarding critical infrastructure near areas <br />of coastal erosion is expected. Gregory S. Stevens, P.E. will oversee all geotechnical projects assigned <br />by the City. Mr. Stevens is a geotechnical engineer with over 15 years of experience throughout Florida <br />in geotechnical and materials testing consulting. Mr. Stevens has performed dozens of geotechnical <br />designs in FEMA designated velocity flood zones (i.e. “V-Zones”) where it is necessary to evaluate <br />potential scour effects during storm events and providing resilient foundation systems that will be able to <br />withstand these events. The Maser Consulting team also has significant experience in forensic evaluations <br />in damaged coastal properties. <br />The Maser geotechnical team is experienced in providing construction <br />materials testing field services for construction of projects for cities <br />and other public clients across the State of Florida. We acknowledge <br />that construction schedules can be fluid and demanding, so flexibility <br />and commitment to meeting unpredictable schedules is critical in <br />servicing contracts while minimizing unnecessary City involvement. <br />The Maser Consulting team is committed to provide the City the team <br />that minimizes unnecessary City involvement but still communicates <br />effectively project statuses and issues as they occur. <br />Maser Consulting offers informative solutions for geotechnical and <br />structural engineering applications.
