Montenegro, <br />PE, has over 32 years of <br />professional experience in <br />geotechnical engineering <br />and has performed numerous <br />projects for public agencies, <br />including Miami-Dade County, <br />various municipalities in Miami- <br />Dade, Broward and others. <br />He has been involved in numerous foundation and soil <br />studies including deep and shallow foundation analysis, <br />foundation settlement, slope stability and roadway studies. <br />Mr. Montenegro responsibilities include planning, organizing, <br />directing and coordinating all the administrative and technical <br />activities for GCES. He has served as Senior Geotechnical <br />Engineer on several Florida Department of Transportation <br />bridge foundation projects that contained driven piles and <br />drilled shafts, roadway, and ITS projects. <br />Typically services provided by GCES have included evaluations <br />of sites to evaluate site suitability for pump stations, pipe <br />alignments, park amenities, roadways and bridges by <br />performing geotechnical borings and site analysis. They <br />are very familiar with the specific soil, rock, groundwater <br />conditions in South Florida providing recommendations on the <br />most cost-effective foundation options for planned structures. <br />Their construction services group has also provided support <br />during construction by providing certified field testing <br />technicians to test items like the soil density, pile integrity, <br />concrete strength, and steel welding quality.
