(2017-2024) <br /> <br />Miami-Dade County is committed to the principals of building a <br />healthier, more vibrant and livable community through <br />implementation of their Parks and Open Spaces Master Plan. <br />Accordingly, they turned to MC Harry Associates to address the <br />County’s planning and design goals for the 300 square mile <br />Region C area of Southwest Miami-Dade County containing <br />more than 60 public parks and preserve areas. The 10 year <br />contract will achieve a variety of cost effective and aesthetically <br />satisfying experiences for all park users by creating beautiful, <br />durable, ecologically sustainable park environments where the relationship between the visitor and the <br />unique elements of each park are thoughtfully considered. <br /> <br />Project Examples: Southridge Park Community Recreation: <br />The project design is organized around a two story lobby/reception space flanked by a multipurpose/ <br />events space, a fitness room and a ‘kidz corner’ play area. The lobby links with an outdoor dining patio, <br />splash pad and an eight lane competition swimming pool. Support spaces include warming kitchen for <br />catered events; and related toilet/shower/locker rooms.
