<br />Mr. Eric J. Hammond, PE is a Professional Engineer with over 45 years of experience in
<br />Mechanical,Plumbing and Fire Protection design and Construction, Management. Mr.
<br />Hammond is the Principal-in-Charge overseeing all technical and administrative policies
<br />and management of the firm. He has facilitated many new and existing municipal
<br />projects, to include public safety and transportation, judicial buildings, fire stations,
<br />parking garages, emergency operations, community enters, senior centers, recreational
<br />centers, parks, and renovation and remodeling of building facilities. He makes ethical and
<br />cost efficient decisions that result in exceptional client satisfaction. He attends meetings
<br />during the design phase and remains active in all projects throughout completion.
<br />He performs necessary code research within his discipline and collaborates with the
<br />Architect and project Owner.
<br />MIAMI-DADE COUNTY Information Technology Department (ITD), Miami, FL – The
<br />Miami Dade Information Technology Building required replacement of all of their HVAC Air
<br />Handling Units. The scope of work was delivered in two 2 phases: Phase 1 included the
<br />replacement of all the Chilled Water Air handling units located in the 3rd floor Mechanical
<br />room. These AC units served all 3 floors in the building. Phase 2 included the replacement
<br />of all the VAV’s on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. Provided Mechanical and Electrical
<br />design services as well as Construction Administration for this project. Role: Principal/

<br />FIRE STATION NO. 62, Miami, FL – This new, state-of-the art 11,000-square foot fire
<br />station is LEED certified. This environmentally-friendly building is highly energy efficient
<br />as it utilizes solar power to heat water for the station. Station #62 was built to preserve
<br />valuable flora and fauna as it maintains the remnant forest on the front of the lot. The
<br />building of the station was funded from Fire District Impact Fees and houses an advanced
<br />life support engine with four uniformed personnel 24/7 . Hammond & Associates provided
<br />Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing , and Low Voltage Design Services. Role : Principal/

<br />FORT LAUDERDALE FIRE STATION NO. 54, Broward County, FL – This 10,000
<br />SF facility includes a two-bay apparatus room for a ladder and rescue trucks, a medical
<br />exam/watch office, two business offices, equipment bunker storage, medical storage,
<br />decontamination room and a multi-purpose room for department or community use
<br />complete with restroom facilities. The site also includes a training tower for live drills.
<br />Living amenities within the two-story building include private dormitory facilities, full-
<br />service kitchen with commercial range and hood, dining facility, day room with reclining
<br />theater seats, covered exterior patio, laundry, and fitness facility. Sustainable building
<br />design and construction practices were planned into the building and site design to attain
<br />Florida Green Building Coalition Certification. Role: Principal/Mechanical Engineer
<br />BROWARD COUNTY COURTHOUSE, Broward County, FL – Hammond &
<br />Associates provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering services for the new
<br />courthouse complex includes a county office building, the county jail, three courthouse
<br />buildings, an energy center, and a parking garage. The 740,000-square foot court building,
<br />which will occupy a 1.55-acre portion of the campus, is 20-stories high and features 74
<br />courtrooms and hearing rooms, as well as office space for several government agencies.
<br />The courthouse will feature state-of-the-art technology, including extensive audio-visual
<br />and evidence presentation systems for the courtrooms and office spaces. Security will be
<br />enhanced using CCTV, card access, duress devices (push buttons) and entry screening
<br />security systems. Achieving a LEED Gold certification, the courthouse includes energy
<br />reductions up to 22 percent and water-use savings up to 30 percent. Role: Principal/
<br />Mechanical Engineer
<br />CITY OF MIRAMAR POLICE DEPARTMENT, City of Miramar, FL– This new facility
<br />is a three-story wrap around structure surrounding the Town Center Parking Garage. The
<br />second and third floor houses the City’s Police Department including a sally port entry,
<br />holding areas, offices, conference rooms and investigative facilities. This secure building
<br />is designed to be bullet-proof inside and outside and withstand Category 5 hurricanes.
