Lauderdale, FL – Provided engineering designs for <br />the replacement of 4 chilled water air handlers. Each unit was approximately 180 <br />tons with a total of 34, 650 CFM supply air and 16,000 CFM outside air. These were <br />the original units to the buildings and were located in 2 separate mechanical rooms <br />on the 4th  oor of the facility. The inlet vanes were removed and the units were <br />retro tted with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s). Role: Electrical Engineer <br />CITY OF MIRAMAR POLICE DEPARTMENT,City of Miramar, FL– This facility is a <br />three-story wrap around structure surrounding the Town Center Parking Garage. The <br /> rst level of this 80,000 SF building consists of a pedestrian friendly retail area with <br />an arch covered exterior sidewalk facing City Hall Promenade and the pedestrian/ <br />automobile entrance to the building. The second and third  oor houses the City’s <br />Police Department including a sally port entry, holding areas, off ices, conference <br />rooms and investigative facilities. This secure building is designed to be bullet-proof <br />inside and outside and withstand Category 5 hurricanes. Hammond & Associates <br />provided Plumbing and Fire Protection for the project. Role: Electrical Engineer <br />BROWARD COUNTY COURTHOUSE, Broward County, FL – Hammond & <br />Associates provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering services for the <br />new courthouse complex includes a county off ice building, the county jail, three <br />courthouse buildings, an energy center, and a parking garage. The 740,000-square <br />foot court building, which will occupy a 1.55-acre portion of the campus, is 20-stories <br />high and features 74 courtrooms and hearing rooms, as well as off ice space <br />for several government agencies. The courthouse will feature state-of-the-art <br />technology, including extensive audio-visual and evidence presentation systems for <br />the courtrooms and off ice spaces. Security will be enhanced using CCTV, card access, <br />duress devices (push buttons) and entry screening security systems. Achieving a <br />LEED Gold certi cation, the courthouse includes energy reductions up to 22 percent <br />and water-use savings up to 30 percent. Role: Electrical Engineer <br />LAUDERHILL SPORT PARK,Lauderhill Lakes, FL ȃ This community park is constructed <br />on a 26 acre property. The recreational facility has lighted basketball courts, baseball <br /> eld, cricket and soccer  elds. The design elements include complete air conditioning <br />services, sanitary and water piping systems for the building and the roof drains, as <br />well as outdoor lighting and site lighting. Hammond & Associates also provided <br />construction administration services for the project. Role: Electrical Engineer <br />HELEN MILLER COMMUNITY CENTER, OPA LOCKA, FL – Demolished the existing <br />1-story building and designed and constructed a new 2-story energy eff icient building <br />of approximately 6,000 square feet at the same location. The building is a multi- <br />purpose facility with the following amenities: community hall, restroom, kitchen <br />facility, off ices, operation rooms, and storage room. Design services were delivered <br />in compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The facility provides a public <br />facility and infrastructure improvements bene t, which serves the Opa-Locka <br />Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area in the City of Opa-Locka. Provided <br />Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection engineering services for the <br />facility. The facility also serves as a hurricane shelter while complying with the City’s <br />need. Construction Cost $ 3.8 Million. Role: Electrical Engineer <br />Mr. Dixon is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 15 years of experience in <br />electrical engineering design, installations and construction management services. <br />Mr. Dixon serves as the Project Engineer and electrical Engineer-of-Record for many <br />of Hammond & Associates municipal and county projects. His expertise is in the <br />design of power distribution systems and value engineering.
