This $35.5 million project consists of adding lanes and pavement <br />rehabilitation along SR 997/Krome Ave from SW 312 Street/Campbell Drive to SW 296 St. As well as the reconstruction and addition of lanes from SW 296 Street to S of SW <br />232 St. Additional improvements include the reconstruction of 5 existing signalized intersections, a new signalized intersection, the construction of two new bridges over C-103 <br />Canal, and the construction of new access roads for SFWMD. Responsibilities included supervising inspection staff in the application of Department Procedures and <br />Standards, monitoring field testing and results, preparing Supplemental Agreements and Work Orders required for implementing contract changes, working with the Engineer <br />of Record to coordinate design changes and plan revisions, reviewing and analyzing construction claims to determine entitlement. His responsibilities included performing roadway inspections, quality control on earthwork operations; quality control on concrete pours <br />by testing and sampling in compliance with FDOT Specifications. Interacted with general contractors and subcontractors; sent daily reports to the Project Owner describing <br />quantities of material used and wasted; earthwork, density testing on embankments, subgrades and bases.
