BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The Kimley-Horn team is providing roadway, signing <br />and marking, signalization, lighting, structures, and <br />landscape design. The project consists of widening the <br />existing 2 -lane undivided to a 4 -lane divided roadway <br />with a 10 -foot shared -use path (Krome Path). This <br />project is part of the Krome Avenue South Corridor and <br />has several environmentally sensitive areas. The <br />project also includes relocation of overhead facilities for <br />FPL and City of Homestead. This segment of Krome <br />Avenue handles part of the main freight activity in <br />south and west Miami -Dade County, with a daily truck <br />percentage of 15%. Relevance to this project: Kimley- <br />Horn designed 3.8 miles of the Krome Path working <br />within FDOT design guidelines and Miami -Dade <br />County permitting requirements. We also provided <br />landscape architecture design services. <br />Project Construction Cost: $34M <br />Size: 3.8 miles <br />25.
