Measurement for payment shall be based upon work in place. <br /> <br />Item 43: <br />CONTINGENCY / ALLOWANCE: This item is to account for unforeseen conditions that, <br />due to substantial deviation from plans, justify an increase in payment to Contractor for <br />additional materials and/or labor. This Allowance can only be utilitzed with prior <br />auhorization from City’s Owner ’s Representative. <br /> <br />The actual cost of the work will be established by a negotiated price between <br />CONTRACTOR and CITY.
