<br /> <br /> <br />employee or subcontractor. As a condition of employment, each employee is expected to use safe work practices <br />and identify all unsafe conditions immediately. All employees are required to report any violations, unsafe <br />conditions, or known safety hazards to their immediate supervisors at once. <br /> <br />All subcontract agreements are subject to the Company’s Safety and Occupational Health Policy as a condition <br />of the contract agreement. To ensure compliance, the Safety Officer is empowered with the authority to take such <br />actions necessary to protect life, health, and safety and to protect the environment, as they deem necessary. This <br />authority shall be irrevocable and shall include, but is not limited to, the power to unilaterally alter, suspend and/or <br />halt any operation or portion thereof that endangers or potentially endangers life, health, and safety or threatens <br />the protection of the environment. The Safety Officer will report to the Operations Manager and the Chief <br />Executive Officer of the corporation. <br /> <br />A copy of the Company’s Safety and Occupational Health Policy and its related Accident Prevention Plan was <br />not included with this proposal because of its length but can be supplied upon request. <br /> <br />Safety for Subcontractors and Suppliers <br />Safety is considered a condition of employment and is the responsibility of all associated with TFR, whether in <br />the capacity of employee or subcontractor. All subcontract agreements are subject to this Safety and Occupational <br />Health Policy as a condition of the contract agreement. <br /> <br />The following procedures will be administered to ensure that all subcontractor activities are fully integrated into <br />the project safety plan and job hazards analysis. When subcontractors first report to the job site and before <br />beginning work, the project manager shall review with the subcontractor safety representative the contractual <br />obligation to safety and the project safety rules that subcontractor employees are required to follow. <br /> <br />1. Review the Corporate Accident Prevention Plan and stress all the applicable requirements and <br />procedures. <br />2. Review the specific Company safety rules and regulations. <br />3. Review hazardous work conditions presented by the physical assessment of the project. <br />4. Instruct their safety representative that they are to attend a monthly safety meeting. <br />5. It must be firmly established that all subcontractors’ employees must abide by the applicable OSHA <br />regulations. <br /> <br />Housekeeping <br />Housekeeping is essential in accident prevention and is the responsibility of each employee and subcontractor. <br />The work area must be maintained in a neat and orderly manner and excess materials and waste should be removed <br />daily. Supervisors and managers are to inspect and enforce orderly, safe, and clean working areas at all times. <br /> <br />Subcontractors will generally be responsible for their First Aid and medical treatment. However, the following <br />will be required in writing in the subcontract agreement: <br /> <br /> Contact the Contractors foreman and supervisor of any incident requiring First Aid treatment. <br /> Provide all their foremen and supervisors a listing (with directional maps) indicating the location of <br />the nearest emergency facilities such as Hospitals, Emergency Medical Facilities, Police Departments, <br />and Fire Departments. <br /> Provide their foremen and supervisors with a 16-man first aid kit. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ITB No. 23-04-01 <br />Disaster Debris Management and Disposal Services <br />100
