July Alvear Director of Creative Experiences July Alvear, Director of Creative Experiences at MCL, will serve as Lead Designer for the City of Sunny Isles Beach holiday lighting and décor program, working collaboratively with MCL’s design and operations teams to develop cohesive décor concepts and visually impactful public experiences aligned with the City’s vision. In this role, July will oversee the creative direction of the holiday program including concept development, thematic design, décor selection, rendering production, and visual presentation planning. She will lead the design process from initial concept development through final implementation, ensuring that all décor elements are strategically designed, visually cohesive, and aligned with the aesthetic standards and destination-oriented character of Sunny Isles Beach. July also works closely with fabrication, production, and field operations teams to ensure all concepts are operationally executable, structurally appropriate, and successfully integrated into active public environments. With more than ten years of experience designing large-scale holiday displays, experiential activations, and destination-quality public environments for municipalities, hospitality properties, commercial districts, and mixed-use developments throughout South Florida, July brings extensive experience creating visually engaging installations designed to enhance public spaces and encourage community interaction. Her work focuses on creating memorable, “Instagrammable” experiences that combine creative innovation with practical execution and operational functionality. July’s creative leadership and design expertise will support MCL’s ability to provide the City of Sunny Isles Beach with a visually cohesive, sophisticated, and highly engaging holiday program reflective of the City’s world-class coastal identity.
