7/2011 <br />15060 - 1 <br />SECTION 15060 <br /> <br />PIPING AND FITTINGS <br /> <br />PART 1 - SCOPE <br /> <br />1.01 SCOPE: <br /> <br /> A. The work included in this section consist of furnishing all material, equipment, labor and <br />performing all operations necessary for the supply of all piping, fittings and accessories <br />within the limits of work, as shown on the drawings and specified herein. <br /> <br /> B. Where references are made to other standards or codes, unless specific date references <br />are indicated the latest edition of said standard or code shall govern. <br /> <br />1.02 WORK NOT INCLUDED UNDER THIS SECTION: <br /> <br /> Piping installation for various types of piping systems is specified various other sections <br />herein. Installations specified in this section is supplementary to those sections and in the <br />case of conflict the more stringent condition shall prevail. <br /> <br />1.03 RELATED SECTIONS: <br /> <br /> A. Section 15010 - Basic Mechanical Requirements <br /> <br /> B. Section 15065 - Miscellaneous Materials <br /> <br /> C. All sections specifying various types of valves. <br /> <br />1.04 PIPING LAYOUT: <br /> <br />Field verify dimensions prior to preparation of layout and shop drawings. Obtain shop <br />drawing approval prior to fabrication of piping. All items not specifically mentioned in the <br />Specifications or noted on the approved Plans, but which are obviously necessary to <br />make a complete working installation shall be included. <br /> <br />1.05 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> <br /> A. During shipping, delivery and installation of pipe and accessories, handle in a manner as <br />to ensure a sound undamaged condition. <br /> <br /> B.
