<br /> Holiday Park is For Lauderdale's largest and most central park. Originally built in the late 1940's
<br /> as a tribute to local World War II veterans, the park has undergone many incremental additions
<br /> over its 60-year lifespan. The park features lighted soccer and football fields, concessions
<br /> and press-box facilities, lighted baseball fields. roller hockey courts. dedicated bicycle, in-line
<br /> skating and jogging paths. picnic pavilions and an accessible playground. Holiday Park brings
<br /> together the tradition of formal landscape design with the recognition of open spaces as sites
<br /> for public gathering. active recreation, and a commodity of regional identity.
<br /> EDSA was selected to design renovations for Holiday Park and produce a master plan for
<br /> the park over a 3-year period which involved several rounds of programming and preference
<br /> interviews. The resulting plan focused on facilities programming.vehicular access. circulation,
<br /> and compatibility with surrounding neighborhoods. Following the master plan, EDSA provided
<br /> design and engineering of all construction elements, bidding assistance. and construction
<br /> administration.
