<br />The project at Young Men's Preparatory Academy was a multi-phase project that involved the renovation,
<br />remodeling, and restoration of an existing historic structure as well as the new construction of a new state of-
<br />the-art building after the demolition of two severely damaged buildings. The architectural process began with
<br />field investigations. When the conditions field study was completed, research was conducted to select the best
<br />products for replacing the windows and HV AC units as well as materials for interior and exterior refurbishments.
<br />The scope of work for the historic restoration portion of the project included but was not limited to the removal
<br />and replacement of the windows and HV AC units in the entire facility. In addition, the architect was in charge
<br />of replacing paint, ceiling, and lighting throughout the entire facility as well as the renovation of the cafeteria,
<br />auditorium, and supporting spaces. The 1926 designed auditorium was restored to its original luster taking into
<br />consideration the latest technological and environmental advancements. The Remodeling / Renovation
<br />included new stage lighting and rigging, lighting throughout. HV AC system, stage and seating area, curtains,
<br />seating to accommodate accessibility, sound system, dimmer. CCTV and control booth.

<br />This project involved the complete Historic Restoration, Renovation, and Remodeling of the entire elementary
<br />school. Architeknics, Inc. was entrusted with updating the existing classrooms, administration offices,
<br />gymnasium, and structure with state-of-the-art materials and solutions to allow the elementary school to be
<br />more efficient while creating a better environment for learning. The main scope of work for this project was the
<br />removal and replacement of the windows and HV AC units in the entire facility. In addition to the window and
<br />HV AC replacement. the architect was in charge of replacing interior/exterior paint and ceilings throughout the
<br />entire facility. In addition, Architeknics, Inc. provided complete Construction Administration with weekly site
<br />visits, comprehensive site visit reports, and administration at construction progress meetings.
