Recommended concept was designed and construction was managed by CPH Engineers. Scope of project included two intersections approximately 700 feet apart and associated turn lanes and traffic control devices. The fees for the analysis and conceptual design totaled $8,500. Accordingly, CPH conducted a trip generation study by selecting three existing Progressive Auto Insurance Concierge Centers. CPH has coordinated 72-hour machine counted traffic volume counts at these three (3) sites, trip generation rate analysis and calculations, and prepared a report per ITE methodologies and procedures. Several land use scenarios were evaluated and modified to address concurrency issues, CPH was required to work with City of Sarasota staff and their Consultant closely to arrive at a mutually agreed upon detailed analysis and mitigation improvements which addressed the impacts of the project yet still allowed the City to adhere to the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code.
