DOE Pantex Facility, Amarillo, TX Interim
Corrective i\Ieasure Design for nitro toluenes, RDX,
ISCO and enhanced bioremediation

Project Manager/Design Engineer, NEDC Dry
Cleaners (non Program Site), Sarasota, FL, (7/00-
Present). Developed design and budgetary cost
estimate for S l.OM site restoration using ISCO with air
sparging. PrO\'ided o\'Crsight of project Phase I
execution and evaluation of data collected. Currently
developing remedial strategy for enhanced in situ
bioremediation for a new release at the site.

Senior Project Engineer, Southside Station Plant,
JEA, Jacksonville, FL, (1999 - 2004). Assisted with
development of site closure plan, environmental plans,
scheduling, cost estimating, and conceptual design
engineering for site property divestiture of active
municipal power plant. Site is a designated FDEP
Brownfield. Site covers 29 acres impacted with PAHs,
metals, and PCBs.

Project Engineer, DOE PORTS Site, Pi keville, OH,

(2000). Co-developed engineering approach and

SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL, INC.

OGC122006T

remedial costs for in situ oxidation demonstration
project for DOE Portsmouth Plant. [nnO\'ative
approach il1\'olved the fracturing of a clay matrix and the
injection of sodium permanganate as an oxidant into the
clay matrix.

Program Manager, FDEP Hazardous Waste
Contract, FL, (2/96 -10/98). Responsible for
managing FDEP Hazardous \Vaste Contract No.
H\'('350 for turn-key environmental consulting services
for uncontrolled hazardous waste sites and drycleaning
facilities in Florida. Primary responsibility for
de\'clopment of Statement of Qualifications and winning
bid strategy. Provided startup oversight of program, site
assessments and remedial design alternative analyses for
initial sites awarded O\'er a two-year period.

Project Manager, Omni-Vest Landfill, FL, (4/96-
9/99). Responsible for budgeting, scheduling, client
relations, and feasibility study preparation for a non-
permitted industrial landfill impacted by 100,000 gallons
of terpene as nonaqueous-phase liquid (NAPL).

Design Engineer, Area FT-17, Cape Canaveral,
USAF Fire Training Area, FL, (1996). Designed air
sparge curtain for treating vinyl chloride and DCE. The
system consists of six, 200-foot long trenched horizontal
\vells to a depth of 35 feet. Design included modeling an
in situ countercurrent plate air stripper model to predict
system efficiency.

Design Engineer of Record, Industrial landfill, GA,
(1995 - 1996). Sen'ed as engineer of record for an
industrial landfill impacted with PCBs, chlorobenzenes,
and chlorinated solvents such as PCE and TCE. Co-
de\'e1oped feasibility stud~', work scope, and pilot test for
dual-phase vacuum extraction and steam injection
system. Developed model for predicting dual phase
flow regime in extraction piping. Pilot test successfully
demonstrated the technology approach to the State
regulatory agency and USEP A resulting in a potential
sa\'ings of several million dollars over excavation of the
Landfill material.

Project Design Engineer, Wood Surface Treatment
Facility, Jacksonville, FL, (1990 - 2001).
