BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (lnctude scope, size, and cost) <br />Program Overview <br /> <br />Be Sure to Notice <br />· Monitoring well installations <br />· Sampling and analysis of groundwater <br />· Assessment reports <br />· Permits/environmental compliance <br /> <br />In accordance with a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) <br />Petroleum Pre-approval Work Order, Shaw has completed the field activities <br />associated with the free floating product (FFP) gauging, monitoring well purging, <br />monitoring well installations, and the collection of monitoring well groundwater <br />samples from 97 monitoring wells at the Concourses B, C, D, and North Terminal <br />Development (NTD) areas of the Miami International Airport (MIA). <br /> <br />The purpose of this project was to determine the extent of regulated petroleum hydrocarbons present in the groundwater at the <br />Concourses B, C, and D area of MIA, prior to demolition of the Concourse Band C buildings and the Concourse C Baggage <br />Shed as part of the NTD construction activities. <br /> <br />The following scope of work was conducted by Shaw at the site as part of the assessment activities: <br /> <br />. Preparation of a Site Specific Health and Safety Plan <br />. Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Plan preparation <br />. Inspection, labeling, and documentation of all accessible Concourses B, C, and D area monitoring wells <br />. Installation of 64 monitoring wells on airside portion of MIA. <br />. FFP gauging of all accessible Concourses B, C, and D area monitoring wells <br />. Purging of all accessible Concourses B, C, and D area monitoring wells <br />. Groundwater sampling and analyses of all accessible Concourses B, C, and D area monitoring wells that did not contain <br />FFP <br />.
