'"}$I' .- .f Professional Design Services for the ~ t Hentai , ,~ ..--- ""' Project Meetings and Stakeholder Interviews Project manager Jack Perry, will hold team meetings with the City and design team every two weeks for the duration of the project. In addition, he will hold weekly meetings as needed or as requested by the City. This is the only practical way to ensure schedule adherence. During the research and data collection phase of the project, we propose holding one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders, including City officials, to understand their issues, concerns, and ideas. Community Meetings The design team, with input from the City, will prepare a schedule for community meetings, The final determination of the park scope of work and associated schedule will affect this schedule, and we anticipate the park will have at least two community meetings to finalize the design development prior to initiating the contract document phase. Our public meetings and workshops are very interactive and we will provide project base maps, historical research findings, and photo documentation for 6-8 round-tables led by a design team facilitator. The public design workshops will include the following subtasks: . Design of workshop format . Base map creation . Community design workshops/public involvement campaign Design of Workshop Format Our goal is to develop a public participation process that engages the full spectrum of the community. To accomplish this, we will: ::J Listen to people . Inc. iil< 1.1Tl .J'" ~;:~ - ~ Providing base survey information and pertinent site analysis information to encourage a diverse group of shareholders to identify all interest groups' particular focus and conflicts ~ Building community support for the plan as we proceed Community Design Workshops We will prepare community design workshops that will provide concise, easy-to-read/understand presentations and summaries of the concepts, ideas, issues, and design options. Kimley-Horn recommends videotaping and televising each design workshop and replaying them throughout the month on your local public access television channel. Plan Drawing and Perspective Illustrations We will begin the first round of plan drawings and illustrations after the first design workshop and will continue to revise/refine the plans and perspectives prior to inclusion in a park master plan booklet. Park Master Plan and Booklet Our community-based master plan for Heritage Park will address the continuous access to and between the park and existing developments along the Collins Avenue corridor and the beach, As previously described in the research and data collection portion of this section, our iterative approach to economic and market viability throughout the master planning process will serve to evaluate the feasibility of the plan, Agency Coordination We will prepare a complete listing of pertinent local, state, and federal agencies and actively copy all identified agencies on the following: 1) project team member information 2) project work plan and schedule and subsequent updates 3) all milestone decisions and submissions, and 4) updated directives issued by the City.
