Kenzie Award - Best Capital Project/Beautification Award, Florida Re- <br />development Association <br /> <br />Burkhardt Construction and Kimley-Horn served the City of Boynton Beach <br />Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for a boardwalklstreetscape <br />project along the Intracoastal Waterway involving the extension of Boynton <br />Beach Boulevard. This project is a part of a redevelopment effort by the CRA <br />to improve the City's waterfront. The project consists of two specific elements: <br />the extension of Boynton Beach Boulevard from US 1 to the Intracoastal <br />Waterway, and the construction of a boardwalk along the Intracoastal <br />Waterway from Boynton Beach Boulevard north for approximately 4,000 feet. <br />This project will act as the link between the private sector and public sector <br />redevelopment activity that has already commenced in this area.
