A sample of the sand and a sample of the 80 -20 sand and muck mixture shall be <br />submitted to the Owner for approval prior to installation. <br />F. The Owner has the right to reject topsoil utilized at anytime during the execution of work <br />that does not meet specifications. Topsoil and planting soil will be tested at Owners <br />request for suitability of horticultural use. <br />2.02 SOIL CONDITIONERS <br />A. Dolomitic Limestone: Approved product, designated for agriculture use. <br />B. Aluminum Sulfate: Manufacturer's standard commercial grade. <br />C. Florida Peat: Suitable for plant growth, capable of sustaining vigorous plant growth, and <br />specifically pulverized for agricultural use. Florida peat shall be free of deleterious <br />materials that would be harmful to plant growth, shall be free of nematodes, shall be of <br />uniform quality, and shall have a pH value between 5.5 and 6.5 (as determined in <br />accordance with ASTM E70). Florida peat shall be sterilized to make free of all viable <br />nut grass and other undesirable weeds. <br />D. Pesticides: As recommended by applicable Agricultural Public Agencies. Need to be <br />stored in containers that will protect against accidental leaks, or off site. <br />E. Herbicides: As recommended by applicable Agricultural Public Agencies. Need to be <br />stored in containers that will protect against accidental leaks, or off site. <br />F. Soil Fumigants: As recommended by applicable Agricultural Public Agencies. Need to <br />be stored in containers that will protect against accidental leaks, or off site. <br />G. Fertilizer: <br />1. Commercial grade fertilizer to comply with State of Florida Fertilizer laws. <br />Chemical designation shall be as specified with at least 50% of the nitrogen <br />derived from a non -water soluble organic source and all potash to be derived <br />from sulfate forms for all plantings excluding sod and plantings on the lake <br />edges. <br />Chemical designation shall be as specified with at least 80% of the nitrogen <br />derived from a non - water - soluble organic source and all potash to be derived <br />from sulfate forms for all sod and plantings on lake edges. <br />The following minor elements shall be included: <br />2.2% ZnO 0.25% CuO <br />4.0% MgO 0.005% Fe203 <br />0.5% MnO 0.1% B203 <br />a. Federal Specifications 0-F0241 Type 1, Grade A or B. <br />b. The chemical designation for granular fertilizer for all plantings shall be <br />12 -8 -8. <br />2.
