' MILLER�`�EGG <br />Fernando Cano, El <br />Project Engineer <br />Professional Experience: <br />Mr. Cano joined Miller Legg as a Project <br />Engineer in 2004 in the firm's South <br />Florida office. He is responsible for <br />water distribution systems, sanitary <br />sewer and stormwater design and <br />modeling, site grading and various agency <br />permitting. <br />Relevant Project Experience: <br />Cabbage Palm Wetland <br />Restoration Plan - A wetland <br />restoration project located in Martin <br />County for the U.S. Department of <br />Agriculture - Natural Resources <br />Conservation Service. The project <br />consists of 506 acres of ditches and levee <br />which have changed the historical <br />hydrology. The project objective is to <br />restore the hydrology within the site <br />boundary as close to its pre- drained <br />condition with the installation of control <br />structure, which will prevent adverse <br />effects to surrounding off -site properties. <br />New Testament Baptist Church - A <br />160 -acre Master Development Plan in <br />the Town of Southwest Ranches <br />requiring water management analyses <br />and master utility design and permitting <br />for an elementary and middle school <br />expansion. The master plan included a <br />new worship hall, gymnasium, multi -use <br />ball fields and a passive park. <br />Memorial Hospital Miramar - A 124 - <br />acre site located in the City of Miramar. <br />The campus -style project includes <br />medical office buildings, maintenance <br />facilities and outparcel facilities. Services <br />provided for both on -site and related off - <br />site improvements include: site planning, <br />platting, surveying, civil engineering, <br />landscape architecture, irrigation design, <br />environmental risk management, <br />consumptive water use permitting and <br />environmental permitting. Project <br />management, planning, expert witness <br />and cost estimating services have also <br />been provided for the Hospital's <br />Certificate of Need process. Off -site <br />improvements include the design and <br />construction of a one -mile section of <br />new roadway connecting Pembroke <br />Road. Miller Legg's services also included <br />preparation of the Storm Water <br />Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for <br />NPDES permitting. Award: Best of 2005 <br />Award of Merit - Health Care, Southeast <br />Construction, 2005 <br />SFWMD Miscellaneous Engineering <br />Services - Through a three year <br />contract, Miller Legg provided <br />miscellaneous engineering consulting <br />support services to the South Florida <br />Water Management District. Services <br />included: civil engineering, structural <br />engineering, water resources <br />engineering, mechanical, geotechnical and <br />environmental engineering. Other <br />services included: architectural, land <br />surveying, electrical engineering, <br />landscape architecture, emergency <br />management and engineering economic <br />studies. <br />Broward County Owner's <br />Representative Contract - Miller <br />Legg provided Owner's Representative <br />Services for Broward County District <br />Seven Parks; Secret Woods Nature <br />Center and Easterlin Park. <br />Responsibilities included management of <br />the procurement, permitting and <br />construction repairs and replacement of <br />existing Park elements. The Parks are <br />located in the Cities of Dania Beach and <br />Oakland Park. Program elements include: <br />exotics removal, reforestation, <br />boardwalk repairs and replacement, roof <br />repairs and replacement, campground <br />improvements and water, sewer and <br />drainage improvements. <br />Monterra Development <br />(Waldrep /TOUSA Homes Parcel) - <br />This 526 -acre parcel is one of the last <br />large remaining tracts of vacant <br />unincorporated land in southwest <br />Broward County. The project involves <br />the development of a residential <br />community that includes apartments, <br />townhomes, and single family units. In <br />addition, the development includes a <br />
