Investigate federal grants and time frames that might also be applied and <br />associate with different sequencing models to understand sensitivity and /or <br />dependencies to external inputs. <br />6. Develop a prioritized wireless transformation initiative roadmap, sequenced to <br />optimize cost savings, and to assist the City with execution. <br />IBM's Understanding of the City's Wireless Strategic Objectives <br />IBM understands the City's desire to maximize the investment of a wireless network <br />and enhance every aspect of the City's operation. At the top of the list is public <br />safety utilization to enhance responsiveness and access to mission critical <br />applications, such as CAD and RMS. Some of the other areas include but are not <br />limited to: <br />• Video Surveillance: Solutions that provide close captioned video for <br />communities (cities, airports, border posts, etc), enabling analysis of information <br />for communities safety, border protection, and effective communication <br />• Public Access: Public access for social and economic development. Provides <br />lower cost wireless broadband to address underserved areas; thereby enabling <br />the City to attract new businesses, to increase access for tourism, convention <br />venues, and to bridge the digital divide <br />• Municipal Workforce Mobility: Broadband and applications in support of <br />government workforce optimization. Examples are: on -site report filing, field <br />service operations, case management, data and record access, employee <br />communication, GIS service, social workers, health care assistance <br />• Open Standards: A broadband wireless solutions based on open standards to <br />provide the a scalable and malleable infrastructure <br />Use or disclosure of data contained on this page is subject to the restriction in the <br />disclosure statement of this document. <br />
