Shredded Eucalyptus, shredded, loose, substantially free of mineral waste <br />materials, and showing an acid reaction. <br />B. Minimum organic matter by weight on an oven dry basis: 85 %. <br />C. Processed specifically for use as top mulch around plant beds. <br />2.05 GUYING AND STAKING MATERIAL <br />A. Stakes for Tree Support: <br />1. Construction grade lumber. <br />2. Braces and Vertical Stakes: Nominal 2" x 2 " <br />3. Stakes: Nominal 2" x 4" x 4'long and pointed at one end. <br />4. Cross Braces: Nominal 1" x 4" boards. <br />5. All above grade stakes shall be painted with one coat of brown <br />paint. Paint to be approved by the Owner's Representative. <br />B. Guying Wires: Annealed, galvanized iron or galvanized steel 12 gauge <br />wire. Wire shall be flagged with white or yellow surveyor tape minimum 2 <br />per guy wire, (one flag near ground level and one flag near the middle of <br />the length of wire). <br />C. Hose: <br />1. Type: New 1/2 inch diameter 2 -ply reinforced rubber or plastic <br />hose. <br />2. Minimum size: 3/4 in. <br />D. Turnbuckles: <br />1. Turnbuckles are recommended but not required. Landscape <br />Contractor shall be responsible for keeping taut all guyed plant <br />material and for keeping flagging in place. One turnbuckle per guy <br />wire is required if used. <br />2.
