1 <br />3. Guying to be tightened as needed, but always within two days of <br />when found necessary. <br />2.05 SLOPE STABILIZATION <br />A. Landscape contractor shall be responsible to stabilize grades by approved <br />methods where necessary at his own cost. <br />B. Contractor shall stabilize all sloped areas 3 to 1 or greater and areas <br />found to be required to reduce surface erosion by the Owner's <br />Representative with "Hold Gro" Erosion Control Fabric as manufactured <br />by Gulf States Paper Company, Tuscaloosa, Alabama or approved equal. <br />Contractor shall install erosion control fabric according to the <br />manufacturer's instructions. <br />2.06 DRAINAGE GRAVEL <br />A. Drainage gravel shall be River Run Gravel and shall be of graduated <br />sizes. <br />B. River Run Gravel shall be no smaller than one -half inch nor larger than <br />two inches in any direction. <br />C. Gravel shall be installed as shown on drawings or to a minimum depth of <br />2 inches above drains, and 4 inches throughout planters. <br />D. Gravel shall be washed clean and contain no chemical elements harmful <br />to plant growth. <br />E. Coral rock shall not be used. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 INSPECTION <br />A. Verify final grades have been established prior to beginning planting <br />operation. <br />B. Inspect trees, shrubs, and ground cover plants for injury, insect <br />infestation, and trees and shrubs for improper pruning. <br />C. Do not begin planting of trees until deficiencies are corrected, or plants <br />replaced. <br />3.02 LOCATION /STAKING <br />A. Stake out locations for plants and outline of planting beds on ground. <br />B. Do not begin excavation until stake out of plant locations and plant beds <br />are acceptable to the Landscape Architect. <br />C.
