PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 GENERAL <br />' A. General: All materials throughout the system shall be new and in perfect <br />condition. After award of the contract and prior to beginning of work, the <br />IC shall submit for approval three (3) copies of the complete list of <br />' materials that he proposes to install. Quantities of materials and <br />equipment need not be included. No deviations from the specifications <br />shall be allowed, except as noted. <br />2.02 PIPING <br />' A. The irrigation system pipe shall be as stated herein and shall be furnished, <br />installed, and tested in accordance with these specifications. Unless <br />otherwise stated on the plans, all pipe fittings shall be capable of <br />' withstanding a sustained pressure of at least 125 psi. <br />B. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, Class 200, will be used on all mainlines <br />' before individual zone valves, unless otherwise noted on the drawings. <br />Pipe shall conform to ASTM D -2241. <br />C. PVC Pipe, Class 160 and /or 200, solvent -weld shall be used on all system <br />lines downstream of remote - automatic valves. Pipe shall conform to <br />ASTM D -2467 and ASTM D -2464. <br />D. All nipples, pipe connections, bushings, swing joints, etc. required shall be <br />PVC pipe, Schedule 80. <br />' E. All pipe extensions for varied height shrub risers and PVC pipe sleeves <br />9 pP <br />under paved areas shall be PVC pipe, Schedule 40. <br />2.03 PIPE FITTINGS <br />' A. All pipe fittings for PVC pipe, Schedule 40, mainline and lateral pipe Class <br />160, solvent -weld, shall be Schedule 40 PVC conforming to ASTM D -1784 <br />and ASTM D -2464. All fittings shall bear the manufacturer's name or <br />trademark, material designation, size, applicable IPS schedule, and NSF <br />seal of approval. <br />2.04 PVC PIPE CEMENT AND PRIMER <br />A. The IC shall provide solvent cement and primer for PVC solvent -weld pipe <br />and fittings as recommended by the manufacturer.
