PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.01 GENERAL ' A. General: All materials throughout the system shall be new and in perfect condition. After award of the contract and prior to beginning of work, the IC shall submit for approval three (3) copies of the complete list of ' materials that he proposes to install. Quantities of materials and equipment need not be included. No deviations from the specifications shall be allowed, except as noted. 2.02 PIPING ' A. The irrigation system pipe shall be as stated herein and shall be furnished, installed, and tested in accordance with these specifications. Unless otherwise stated on the plans, all pipe fittings shall be capable of ' withstanding a sustained pressure of at least 125 psi. B. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipe, Class 200, will be used on all mainlines ' before individual zone valves, unless otherwise noted on the drawings. Pipe shall conform to ASTM D -2241. C. PVC Pipe, Class 160 and /or 200, solvent -weld shall be used on all system lines downstream of remote - automatic valves. Pipe shall conform to ASTM D -2467 and ASTM D -2464. D. All nipples, pipe connections, bushings, swing joints, etc. required shall be PVC pipe, Schedule 80. ' E. All pipe extensions for varied height shrub risers and PVC pipe sleeves 9 pP under paved areas shall be PVC pipe, Schedule 40. 2.03 PIPE FITTINGS ' A. All pipe fittings for PVC pipe, Schedule 40, mainline and lateral pipe Class 160, solvent -weld, shall be Schedule 40 PVC conforming to ASTM D -1784 and ASTM D -2464. All fittings shall bear the manufacturer's name or trademark, material designation, size, applicable IPS schedule, and NSF seal of approval. 2.04 PVC PIPE CEMENT AND PRIMER A. The IC shall provide solvent cement and primer for PVC solvent -weld pipe and fittings as recommended by the manufacturer.
