7. The IC shall be responsible to adjust the system layout, as <br />necessary, to properly align with all pipe sleeves at no additional <br />cost. <br />2.08 SPRINKLER HEADS <br />A. The manufacturer shall guarantee all sprinklers and components for not <br />less than one (1) year from installation, warranted against all defects in <br />normal material and workmanship. The IC shall provide riser nipples for <br />all heads of the same size as the riser opening in the sprinkler body. All <br />sprinkler heads shall be of the same manufacturer for project consistency. <br />B. Spray heads shall be Rain Bird 1800 Series with check valve and <br />pressure- compensating features and nozzle configurations as shown on <br />the plans or as necessary to ensure full coverage. The nozzle extension <br />shall be a six -inch (6 ") or twelve -inch (12 ") pop -up. Install using a one -half <br />inch (' /z ") Schedule 80 nipple and swing joints as detailed. Connection of <br />these heads to pipe fittings shall be made as shown on detail sheets. <br />Rain Bird 1800 Series pop -up spray heads with the SAM -PRS features <br />shall have connections made at the bottom inlet. <br />2.09 SATELLITE CONTROLLERS <br />A. The irrigation system controller shall be a Rain Bird ESP -24MC wall - <br />mount controller inside the pump station. Station quantities shall be as <br />noted on the plans. <br />B. The controller shall be equipped with a Mini -Clik II Rain Sensor <br />manufactured by Glen Hilton Products. <br />C. Surge Suppression Receptacle: Each controller shall have a Pass and <br />Seymour Model #6262 ISP, hospital - grade, transient - voltage, surge - <br />suppression receptacle installed for the 120 -VAC input power. <br />2.10 ELECTRIC- VONTROL VALVES <br />A. The remote - control valve shall be normally a closed 24 -VAC, 60- cycle, <br />solenoid- actuated, globe - pattern, diaphragm type. Valve- pressure rating <br />shall not be less than 200 psi. The valve body and bonnet shall be <br />constructed of heavy -duty, glass - filled nylon; diaphragm shall be of nylon - <br />reinforced nitrite rubber. <br />B. The valve shall be actuated by a low- power, 5.5 -V.A., 24 -VAC solenoid. <br />The solenoid plunger shall have a "Grit Filter" to insure a positive -valve <br />operation. <br />07/06 02810 -13 05 -5564 <br />
