3.10 WARRANTY A. The IC shall fully warrant the landscape irrigation system for a period of one (1) year after the written Final Acceptance and will receive a written confirmation from the LA that the warranty period is in effect. B. During the warranty period, the IC will enforce all manufacturer's and supplier's warranties as if made by the 1C himself. Any malfunctions, deficiencies, breaks, damages, disrepair, or other disorder due to materials, workmanship, or installation by the IC and his suppliers shall be immediately and properly corrected to the proper order as directed by the Owner and /or LA. C. Any damages caused by system malfunction shall be the responsibility of the IC who shall make full and immediate restoration for said damages. 3.11 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION, INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE A. Inspection of the entire project or designated portions thereof shall be made upon written request of the IC. At that time, if all work is satisfactory and complete according to the conditions of the contract, the OAR shall declare the work substantially complete. B. The IC's written request for review of the work or any designated portion thereof shall be received by the OAR at least five (5) days before anticipated date of inspection. C. Plants that have died or are in unhealthy or badly- impaired condition on inspection (as a result of the IC's work only) shall be treated or replaced within fourteen (14) days at no additional cost to the Owner. D. Replace rejected plants within two (2) weeks of inspection. E. Substantial completion of the work for the entire project, or designated portions thereof, shall constitute the beginning of the guarantee period. F. The IC's responsibility for maintenance shall extend through the entire guarantee /warranty period (i.e., one (1) year from substantial completion). END OF SECTION 07/06 02810 -22 05 -5564
