Concrete where not exposed in the finished work and not scheduled <br />to receive an additional applied finish or material - Off -form finish. <br />7. Gunite areas - wood float with broomed finish. <br />8. Concrete to receive chemical hardener - wood float finish. <br />1.06 RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHANGING FINISHES <br />A. The surface finishes specified for concrete to receive additional applied <br />finishes or materials are the finishes required for the proper application of <br />the actual products specified under other Sections. Where different <br />products are approved for use, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to <br />determine if changes in finishes are required and to provide the proper <br />finishes to receive these products. <br />B. Changes in finishes made to accommodate products different from those <br />specified shall be performed at no additional cost to the Owner. Submit the <br />proposed finishes and their construction methods to the Engineer for <br />approval. <br />1.07 MANUFACTURER'S SUPERVISION <br />A. The manufacturer of the metallic aggregate hardener material shall make <br />available at no cost, upon 72 hours notification, the services of a qualified <br />field representative to make sure the Contractor is providing the proper <br />application of the product under prevailing job conditions and to observe <br />installation as required. <br />B. The Contractor shall make arrangements for the field representative to be <br />present. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />A. Portland cement and component materials required for finishing the <br />concrete surfaces shall be as specified in Section 03300. <br />B. Chemical hardener shall be Lapidolith, by Sonneborn, Hornolith, by W.R. <br />Grace or approved substitute, fluorsilicate base material. <br />07/06 03350 -2 05 -5564 <br />
