PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br />07/06 <br />A. Cementitious finish shall be manufactured by Thoro System Products or <br />approved equal consisting of the following components: <br />1. Cementitious finish shall be Thoroseal Plaster Mix, heavy cement <br />base coating in standard color. <br />2. Bonding agent shall be Acryl 60. <br />3. Patching mortar shall be Thorite, non - shrink patching mortar. <br />4. Water shall be potable drinking water for all operations. <br />5. Base coat for poured in place concrete surfaces shall be a brush <br />coat of Thoroseal at the rate of two pounds per square yard. <br />Bonding agent shall be same as for cementitious finishes. <br />6. Base Coat Plaster Materials for Masonry Structures: <br />a. Portland cement shall conform to ASTM C150, Type I. No <br />air - entrained cement shall be used. <br />b. Sand shall be natural or manufactured and shall conform to <br />ASTM C144 except that grading shall be as follows: <br />Sieve Size No. <br />4 <br />8 <br />16 <br />30 <br />50 <br />Percent Passin <br />100 <br />85 -100 <br />60 -90 <br />35 -70 <br />0 -5 <br />Sand shall not have more than 50 percent retained between <br />two consecutive sieves. <br />C. Bonding agent shall be as specified above for cementitious <br />finish. No air- entraining agent shall be used. <br />B. The term "Stucco ", as shown on the drawings shall be synonymous with <br />the various cementation finishes and the Thoroseal type System products. <br />09820 -2 <br />05 -5564 <br />
