1 2.02 FINISH SCHEDULE <br />A. Finish schedule is shown at the end of this Section. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 PREPARATION OF SURFACES <br />' A. No cementitious finish operations shall commence until substrate has <br />been inspected and approved by the applicator. Remove all <br />efflorescence, laitance, loose concrete, and foreign material by effective, <br />approved means. Acid etching and neutralizing or sandblasting may be <br />required to obtain acceptable substrate. <br />3.02 GENERAL INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS <br />A Two coat plaster work shall conform to ANSI Standard A42.3 for portland <br />cement plastering except as amended herein. Cementitious finish mixing <br />and application shall conform to manufacturer's instructions as approved. <br />1 B. Installation shall be done only by mechanics skilled in the application of <br />these systems. <br />C. Concrete, except for installing patching, shall be allowed to cure 30 days <br />before application of cementitious finish system. <br />D. Warm Weather Requirements: Protect plaster and finish against uneven <br />and excessive evaporation and from strong flows of dry air, both natural or <br />artificial. Apply and cure plaster as required by climatic and job conditions <br />' to prevent rapid dry out. Provide suitable coverings, moist curing, barriers <br />to deflect sunlight and wind, or combinations of these, as required. <br />E. No materials which are caked or lumpy, or which are contaminated with <br />foreign materials shall be used. No retarding or accelerating agents will <br />be allowed in mixes without approval of Engineer. Minimum temperature <br />at application and 24 hour thereafter shall be 50 degrees F. <br />F. Hand apply plaster to the specified thickness. Machine application will not <br />be allowed. <br />G. Apply plaster and finish to an entire panel, or substrate unit with <br />interruptions occurring only at openings or control joints. <br />H. Place mixed plaster and finish within a maximum of 1 1/2 hours after <br />mixing, except during hot, dry weather, reduce maximum placing time as <br />I <br />07/06 09820 -3 05 -5564 <br />1 <br />
