SECTION 16050 <br />BASIC WIRING AND METHODS <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 SCOPE <br />A. Provide all material as required for a complete project as required by the <br />Drawings and in this Specification. <br />1.02 SHOP DRAWING SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings for the following: <br />Raceways and Boxes <br />Conductors <br />Grounding <br />Luminaires <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 RACEWAY <br />A. Galvanized Rigid Conduit (ANSI C80.0) - Rigid galvanized steel conduit <br />"RGS" shall be U.L. approved, Schedule 40, and mild steel pipe, zinc - <br />coated on the inside and outside. Fittings shall be zinc - coated, U.L. <br />approved. <br />B. PVC Conduit - Underground PVC conduit shall be Schedule 40 or <br />Schedule 80 unless otherwise noted, and shall be U.L. approved. PVC <br />conduit shall be Schedule 80 when installed above ground. <br />B. Locations: Conduit shall be used as follows <br />1. All above ground grade exposed conduits shall be hot dipped <br />galvanized rigid steel except otherwise noted on the Drawings. <br />2. All conduits penetrating rated fire walls or rated fire floors shall be <br />installed with U.L. approved devices to maintain the fire rating of the <br />wall or floor penetrated. <br />07/06 16050 -1 05 -5564 <br />
