Jose Aldir, E.I. General Civil - 2 <br />Miami -Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management, FEMA DORM (Division of <br />Recovery and Mitigation) <br />These federally funded projects included milling and resurfacing plans, roadway construction plans, <br />and drainage improvement plans. The drainage improvement plans included replacing existing slab <br />covered trenches and positive outfall drainage systems with exfiltration trenches as well as <br />lengthening existing exfiltration trenches to improve roadway drainage in flood prone areas. <br />Big Cypress National Preserve - Ochopee, FL <br />This project included the design and permitting of a low pressure force main system for the park <br />headquarters. The project included the design of 5,000 LF of 4" force main which ultimately <br />connected to an existing wastewater treatment plant. The design also included the installation of <br />grinder pump package systems to eliminate the use of septic tanks throughout the project area. <br />American Airlines - Miami International Airport - Concourse "D" Extension Apron and Utilities <br />This project included design of a 16 -inch water main, a 12 -inch fire line, a sanitary sewer system <br />including a sanitary pump station, communication and electric duct banks and coordination with <br />other utilities. Shop drawing review, plan modifications during project construction, and as -built <br />plan updates were included in this project. <br />MIA Perimeter Road Modifications - Miami International Airport - <br />This project included 1170 feet of new 24" water main, 2790 feet of communication duct bank, <br />1600 feet of 16" sanitary force main replacement, and relocation of an 8" sanitary force main, a 12" <br />water main, and an electrical conduit as part of a 4.2 mile roadway widening and improvements <br />project. <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach, Conversion of FDOT Drainage Ponds <br />Responsible for the coordination and design of a pump station, drainage manifold system, and <br />injection well system to replace three FDOT drainage ponds while improving the existing FDOT <br />roadway drainage design. This project included extensive research of existing FDOT drainage <br />systems that capture runoff from a 24 acre area. <br />Coral Reef Yacht Club Sanitary Sewer Inspection <br />This project included the video inspection of 8501f of 4" Sanitary Sewer Pipe to determine the <br />cause of the club's sanitary sewer problem. Extensive research was performed to gather information <br />about previous repair attempts to this private system. A report on the condition of the pipes and <br />the cause of the problem was generated and recommendations on solutions were submitted. <br />FDOT District 6 Experience <br />♦ SR 5 (Brickell Avenue) from South of I -95 to SE 25`h Road <br />This was a milling and resurfacing project that included the upgrading of two span wire traffic <br />signals to mast arm traffic signals (one at S. Miami Avenue and another at SE 26`h Road). The <br />following plans were generated: Roadway, Maintenance of Traffic, Signing and Marking, <br />Signalization, and Landscaping. <br />♦ SR 913 (SW /SE 26`h Rd) from SW V Avenue to the Rickenbacker Cswy Entrance Toll Booth <br />This was a milling and resurfacing project that included Roadway Plans, Maintenance of Traffic <br />Plans, Signing and Marking Plans, and Landscaping Plans. <br />♦ SR 5 (Biscayne Blvd) from NE 209`h Street to the Broward County Line <br />This was a milling and resurfacing project that included the upgrading of a span wire traffic signal <br />to a mast arm traffic signal at NE 209`h Street.
