MATTHEW E. MEYER, P.E. <br />The Four Seasons Hotel & Tower, Miami, FL- This development consists of a 66 -story high rise hotel, <br />condominium, and office building, a 20 -story podium and 6 -story garage. Assisted in the geotechnical <br />construction aspects of this project to include the following: (A) Full-time inspection, load testing and <br />coordination of over 100, 6 -ft diameter polymer drilled shafts with lengths of 110 ft to 135 ft. Installation <br />techniques included: 1) uncased drilled shafts stabilized with polymer or bentonite slurry, and 2) cased drilled <br />shafts in the upper portions and slurry stabilized in the lower portions; (B) Dewatering consultation and field <br />inspection of tremie sealed sheeted excavations (cofferdams) to facilitate dewatering and subsequent <br />placement of cap concrete up to 17 ft below the groundwater table <br />The Diplomat Hotel, Hollywood, FL - This development consists of twin -40- story-hotel towers, an 8 -story <br />convention center, 23 to 31 story ocean condominiums, central mechanical plant, 5 -story garage and retail <br />village, and a 15 to 20 -story intracoastal condominium. Assisted in the preparation of test pile/load test and <br />production pile reports for approximately 3,000 augercast piles, and preparation of earthwork certification <br />letters Provided and coordinated the inspection of augercast piles, demucking, and backfilling. Provided <br />geotechnical oversight and recommendations throughout design and installation of precast concrete piles for <br />rehabilitation of an existing segmental concrete panel bulkhead and timber piles for the proposed docks and <br />fender system Designed and issued drawings for the use of lightweight fill on top of settlement sensitive <br />utilities and adjacent to settlement sensitive structures. <br />Ten Museum Tower, Miami, FL- This development consists of a 50 -story tower and a connecting 9 -level <br />podium /garage structure. Reviewed and provided technical advice on geotechnical engineering study for <br />support of the tower and garage structures on high- capacity augercast piles installed to as deep as el- 100 <br />NGVD. Evaluated and provided anticipated settlement patterns of high -rise to low -rise structures as well as <br />advice on connecting and super - elevating procedures. Provided construction oversight throughout foundation <br />installation and construction. <br />Turnberry Ocean Colony Development, Sunny Isles, FL- This development consists of twin 38 -story towers <br />and a connecting submerged 3 -level parking garage. Assisted with the preparation of the geotechnical <br />engineering study report for the support of the towers on 420 -ton, 24- inch -dia augercast piles and settlement <br />related Issues. Provided construction oversight and project management during augercast load testing, <br />production pile installation, and sheet pile installation. <br />One Bal Harbour, Bal Harbour, FL- This development consists of demolition of an existing 14 -story apartment <br />structure and construction of a 25 -story apartment tower with two 17 -story wings. Assisted in the preparation <br />of the geotechnical engineering study report for supportof the towers on augercast piles and recommended <br />site preparation procedures for on-grade supported appurtenances in compressible ground conditions. <br />Barclays Financial Center & J. W. Marriott Hotel, Miami, FL - This development consists of a 30 -story <br />financial center with an adjacent 10 -story parking garage and a 20 -story hotel with an adjacent 7 -story parking <br />garage. Assisted in the preparation of the test pile/load test and production pile reports. Provided augercast <br />pile inspection services for over 1,000 piles. <br />Turnberry on the Green, Aventura, FL- This development consists of a 27 -story apartment tower and an <br />adjacent 4 -story parking garage. Assisted in the preparation of the geotechnical engineering study, augercast <br />pile and site preparation specifications. Provided geotechnical oversight for installation of over 700 augercast <br />piles, load tests, preloading, and backfilling inspection services. Evaluated and provided construction <br />recommendations concerning installation of piles into very hard limestone /sandstone. <br />Classic Residence by Hyatt, Aventura, FL- This development consists of twin 23 -story condominiums. <br />Assisted in the preparation of the geotechnical engineering study and evaluation for augercast piles, <br />demucking/backfilling, and preloading to precompress the loose sands and rock strata. <br />Harbor Islands (Parcels 1 & 8), Hollywood, FL- This development consists of over 100 two -story single family <br />and townhouse sites. Assisted in the preparation of the geotechnical engineering study to allow support of <br />residential structures on conventional shallow foundations and slab -on- grades after preloading on reclaimed <br />land within former mangrove swamp area. Specifically designed the preload to reduce the coefficient of <br />secondary compression to tolerable levels and remove significant primary consolidation settlements. <br />
