Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment or services to complete the <br />Fine Grading work, as indicated on the drawings, as specified herein or both. <br /> <br />1.02 Related Work <br /> <br />A. Section 02481 - Shrub and Tree Relocation <br />B. Section 02484 - Soil Preparation and Soil Mixes <br />C. Section 02487 - Sodding <br />D. Section 02490 - Trees, Plants, and Groundcovers <br /> <br />1.03 Site Inspection <br /> <br />A. The Contractor shall visit the site and acquaint himself with all existing <br />conditions. The Contractor shall be responsible for his own subsurface <br />investigations, as necessary, to satisfy requirements of this section. All <br />subsurface investigations shall be performed only under time schedules and <br />arrangements approved in advance by the Landscape Architect or Owner's <br />Representative. <br /> <br />1.04 Existing Contours <br /> <br />A. The existing grades shown on the drawings are approximate only (within +2 <br />inches) and the contractor is responsible for grading to meet existing grades as <br />required. <br /> <br />B. The contours and grades established under contract will be the finished grades <br />shown. The Contractor under this Contract shall perform the work for <br />construction using the finished grades previously established and making <br />whatever corrections and/or repairs to grades to make them consistent with the <br />requirements of the drawings and specifications. <br /> <br />C. Established finished grades shall be approved by the landscape Architect for all <br />project areas prior to initiating landscape planting. <br /> <br />1.05 Utilities <br /> <br />A. Locate all existing, active utility lines traversing the site and determine the <br />requirements for their protection. Preserve in operating condition all active <br />utilities adjacent to or traversing the site that are designated to remain. <br /> <br />B. Observe rules and regulations governing respective utilities in working under <br />requirements of this section. Adequately protect utilities from damage, remove or <br />relocate as indicated, specified or required. Remove, plug or cap inactive or <br />abandoned utilities encountered in excavation.
