Our firm has the experience and staff in house to serve the City in 10 of the <br />16 initial items identified. These include: <br /> <br />. Structural (Building and Bridge) . General Civil Design <br />. Traffic . Construction Contract Plans and <br />. Construction Management Special Provisions <br />. Construction Inspection · Public Involvement <br />. Hurricane Recovery and debris · Post Design Services <br />monitoring . Bid Administration <br />In addition to these initial services identified our firm can provide the following services which <br />we feel are beneficial and unique to the City: <br /> <br />. Grant Development and Administration <br />. Transit Studies <br />. Intergovernmental Coordination (FDOT, MDC, etc.) <br />. In-House Staff Support <br />. Concurrency Review <br />The City is unique as it consists of ten small islands that are divided by canals or highways <br />which all eventually lead to Collins A venue in one form or another. Therefore, from a <br />transportation perspective if traveling by car, bus, bike or walking there is likely some interaction <br />with a state road facility. As mentioned earlier our firm is capable of providing all of the <br />services mentioned above, but the greatest strength of our firm is our ability to handle projects <br />that are onon or interact with facilities such as Collins A venue. We understand the issues the <br />City faces with Collins A venue with major resort and high rise residential on the east side of the <br />highway and major commercial areas along the west. Mobility, Aesthetic and Safety are of <br />primary concern along this highway and a primary area were we can assist the City in developing <br />a coordinated plan with FDOT for this corridor. We mention this as one of the primary areas we <br />have identified were we can be of tremendous value to the City. <br />2.1 Planning amI Preliminary Engineering <br />Our staff of engineers has the depth of resources to handle any assignment the Department <br />requires. The Bee Team specializes in providing engineering analysis, preliminary plans and <br />traffic engineering services to handle all engineering components of a project or support on <br />specific components on other studies. If its traffic engineering we have the tools available, from <br />a simple Highway Capacity Software analysis to a more complex CORSIM model. Our <br />engineering effort always includes an extensive analysis of all possible options with the <br />capabilities of providing 30% plans, engineering reports and preliminary structural, utility and <br />drainage design. <br />2.2 Final Design <br />In the development of final design plans for a roadway, a minor improvement or a site our <br />responsibility will be to analyze and evaluate design criteria, geometrics, drainage, maintenance <br />of traffic, constructability, biddability, sequence of construction, aesthetics, utilities, <br /> <br />7300 N Kendall Drive I Suite 660 I Miami.
