Our team is well versed in the permitting process associated with all these agencies. We have permitted several projects through them, or have done work under contract directly with these agencies. One of the most critical aspects of any project is to establish permitting jurisdiction as early as possible and hold pre-application meetings with those agencies. Because all projects have their intricacies, these meetings are critical in order to determine what the agency permitting requirements and applicable criteria will be for that specific project; this assures that the project is on the right path and eliminates costly delays associated with rejected applications. 3.3 Nlanagillg the Permitting Process Many of the assignments in this contract will require several permits in accordance with the requirements of the agencies with jurisdiction in the area where improvements are being performed. Members of BCC's staff have demonstrated during the last five years, its capability of obtaining permits for this type of project, one example is a recently completed project. This project was the Miscellaneous Sanitary Sewer Improvements for MD Parks and Recreation Department: coordination and approval included MDW ASD, MD Public Works, DERM, FDEP, FPL, NUl City Gas and Miami-Dade County Building & Zoning.
